Here are some examples of how to use EZArchive:
Creation:
1.
Input: Two byte strings for which we invent filenames something.foo
and something.bar.
Desired Output: Byte string containing tar.gz
In [6]: elmsubmit_EZArchive.create(input=[('something.foo', 'data...'), ('something.bar', 'data...')])
Out[6]: "\x1f\x8b\..."
2.
Input: Two byte strings for which we invent filenames something.foo
and something.bar.
Desired Output: (Attempt at) returning byte string containing bz2 file.
In [7]: elmsubmit_EZArchive.create(input=[('something.foo', 'data...'), ('something.bar', 'data...')], compression='bz2')
EZArchiveError: tried to compress more than one file into a single bz2 file

Input: One byte string for which we invent filename something.foo.
Desired Output: Byte string containing bz2 file.

Desired Output: Same as 5, but flatten the directory structure
(renaming files that collide in SAMENAME, 1.SAMENAME, 2.SAMENAME, etc.

Full options: filename_collision='rename_similar', # ['throw_error', 'rename_similar', 'rename_random', 'overwrite', 'skip']
Extraction:
1.
Input: Byte string containing tar.gz; extract is clever enough to
guess the file type (you can specify explicity using
compression_hint='tar.gz' if you want to save CPU cycles).
Output: List containing data about each file in the archive. Notably s[x]['file'] will get you the data in file number x.

Input: Same input as 1., but read directly from disk.
Output: File is written out to disk with correct file permissions.
This time, the return value is a 2-tuple. The first entry is
the location of the temp dir. The second entry is a list of
file data like in 1, except the ['file'] key is not present
(since we have written the data to disk).

Again, we get the information about each file extracted in s, but this
time we don't get told the directory extracted to, since we named it
ourselves.
