I am currently affiliated with The Picower Institute for Learning and Memory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I am working at Dr. Peter So's lab and collaborating with Dr. Elly Nedivi's team as well as Dr. Dushan Wadduwage on developing novel multiphoton microscopes boosted with computational imaging/deep learning methods, aiming at neuroscience applications.

My current and previous research at Boston University focuses on developing label-free chemical quantitative phase imaging systems based on the mid-infrared photothermal microscopy technique (IR-pump Visible-probe scheme), deep learning algorithms in bio-imaging, as well as applying the above optical imaging techniques in investigating cancer cell metabolism and neurodegenerative diseases. Meanwhile, I am also interested in investigating the application of disordered micro-structured optical fiber in image transportation.

My past research at CREOL mainly covers imaging, fiber optics, and ultrafast optics: Deep learning in optical fiber imaging, Transverse Anderson localization optical fibers, Optical fiber sensors, Attosecond laser system, Femtosecond chirped pulse amplification systems, Mid-infrared femtosecond optical parametric oscillator.
