Beamforming Measurement Data
The provided measurement data originate from a 5G test system consisting of a base station (BS) with a beamforming antenna and user equipment (UE) with an omnidirectional antenna.
System Description
The carrier frequency was set to 3.55 GHz, and the OFDM cell signal occupied 80 MHz. The BS was equipped with a grid-of-beams antenna with 48 individual beams arranged in three rows and 16 columns. The following table shows the beam indices for the given beam elevation (rows) and azimuth (columns) angles:

Measurement Locations
The BS antenna was installed on a typical antenna mast covering one cellular sector. Measurements are available for three scenarios:
- Rural
- Suburban
- Urban
Further details on the three locations are available in [1]. These datasets have also been used in [2].
Measurement Log File Content
A UE measurement sample is available on average every 0.76 seconds. Multiple measurement drives were conducted for each of the three locations, indicated with an identifier.
