= Rationale =
In order to simplify the installation and update of our plugins and macros to our end users, Oli has set up an Update Site for Fiji that is hosted by the BIOP website
= Initial Configuration for Uploader =
To be able to upload to our Update Site, we need to configure the Fiji Updater as follows
Go to {nav Help > Update > Manage Update Sites} and locate the **PTBIOP** line

The `biop.epfl.ch` server is manged by the SV-IT department and is configured as follows:
SFTP only connection using the `biop` username.
When connected via SFTP, we access our website from the `/biop` folder.
Oli created the `Fiji-Update` folder and the very first time the update site was initialized through the Fiji Updater, fiji uploaded some configuration files.
= Uploading to PTBIOP Update Site =
To upload simply go to {nav Help > Update > Advanced Mode}

Select the file you want to upload and on the **Status/Action** column select **Upload to PTBIOP** from the dropdown menu/
NOTE: If you cannot see the **Upload to PTBIOP** option, either you did not configure your Fiji properly as per above or that you have pending updates. **The updater will not upload until your Fiji is up to date**

= In Progress Update Site =
We are hosting the experimental plugins and features on an update site called "In Progress"
Simply add the URL `https://biop.epfl.ch/InProgress` to your list of update sites.
