A model library to provide exemplary architectural cases, ment e.g. to

  • test methods for daylight modelling,
  • develop and test metric for the assessment of daylight performance,
  • compare the performance of fenestration systems, and
  • illustrate effects by daylight in buildings.

Perspective view into the cellular office model.
Currently, there is only one model of a cellular office included. Other models are under preparation. The aim is to provide realistic cases that e.g. fulfill requirements set by building codes, or that cover a wide range of possible spatial configurations.

A Makefile (for GNU Make ) is provided to compile the model for the open source daylight simulation suite Radiance. Running make octree from within the model directory will result in an octree file that can be used for simulations with Radiance. The default target (by make) will open the model in the interactive scene viewer rvu.
