# User Folders for sharing with the BIOP
As a user, you have a folder to share data with the BIOP microscopists or analysts located on `SVFAS6`
## To connect to your user folder
# Connect to `\\svfas6.epfl.ch\biop\public` or `smb://svfas6.epfl.ch/biop/public`
# Find the folder with your email and unit(eg. `john.doe_UPRAND`) *
# Create a folder with the date and the project (eg. `20200517_My_Project`)
(NOTE) * If you do find your user folder, ask the BIOP to create one)
# Recovering older files
For admins on the **SVFAS6 BIOP** share, it is possible to revert back to an earlier snapshot in case of accidental deleting of a folder or file.
# Go to the folder where the problem happened.
# {nav Right click> Properties}
# Find the {nav Previous Versions} tab
# Select the snapshot you want to use.
# Copy the file(s) back somewhere safe
# Return to the most current snapshot
WARNING: Make sure that you go back to the previous snapshot! And to revert only the folder you need. Reverting all of SVFAS6 would not be very good :smile:
